Been going to Ruby’s for years. Ever since I was a kid I have loved going to Ruby’s Diner. Yesterday a friend of mine wanted to meet for lunch. Her specifications were a place with sandwiches and fries. Seems easy enough, but sadly it seems most sandwich shops do not serve fries as well. I recalled that there is a Ruby’s in South Coast Plaza, so I suggested we try there. Lots of choices and usually pretty delicious. I of course splurged and order a cheeseburger with avocado and onion rings. She got a turkey club with fries and a cherry coke. I was tired and feeling sorta crappy and this really hit the spot. The waitress, per usual, was very friendly. She was happy to abide by our sides of condiments (ie ranch and thousand island). Ruby’s may not be gourmet, but it is quick, friendly, and you always know what you are getting. I just wish I could have ordered a shake, but I put a kibosh on that one. MMMMMMMMMMMM MMMMMMM GOOOD!!!!
